Objective To explore the effect of epidural analgesiaon walkable painless labor for maternal pregnancy. Methods A total of 324 of maternal pregnancy were selected and randomly divided into the control group( n =162) and the observation group( n =162).The control group was treated with conventional delivery, the observation group received epidural analgesia on walkable painless labor. The time of total stage of labor, postpartum 24 h milk yield,in dwelling catheterization during labor and postpartum urinary retention in the two groups were compared. Results The time of total stage of labor, indwelling catheterzation during labor, postpartum urinary retention and the rate of neonatal asphyxia in the observation group was lower than the control group ( P <0.01 or P <0.05), and postpartum 24 h milk yield in the observation group was significantly higher than the control group ( P <0.05). Conclusion Epidural analgesiaon walkable painless labor for maternal pregnancycan reduces the rate of postpartum urinary retention and neonatal asphyxia, increase 24 h milk yield, which proves to be an effective method and worthy for promotion in the clinics.
