Under some assumptions, the short-term equilibrium model, the long-term equilibrium model and their extended models about P2P collaborative consumption market of durables are established. And changes of market demand curve and social welfare issue in collaborative consumption market are studied. The results show that the market short-term equilibrium rent and exchange quantity are affected by factors such as the use times of consumers, the proportion of consumer types, the bringing-to-market (BTM) costs and so on. The long-term equilibrium rent is identically equal to the unit purchase price in the long-term equilibrium model and has nothing to do with ownership. The emergence of the collaborative consumption market may not necessarily decrease the ownership of consumer durables. The quantity of consumer durables has increased rather than decreased when the short-term equilibrium rent is higher than the unit purchase price. The reallocation of idle resources in collaborative consumption market is considered to be a Kaldor-Hicks efficiency, and has raised the level of social welfare.
