摘　　要：专业英语既是英语学习的延续又是本专业知识的回顾,是培养英语及专业知识应用能力的重要途径和良好契机。本文从焊接专业特点及培养计划出发,对课程的特点进行了分析,对教材选择、课堂组织、考核方式等进行了探讨,提出了切实可行的方法。同时还指出,教师的持续学习是保证教学质量的重要环节。Professional English is not only a continuation of English learning,but also a review of the professional knowledge.It is an important way and a good opportunity to cultivate the ability of applying English and professional knowledge.Starting from the characteristics of metal engineering specialty and training plan,this paper analyses the characteristics of the course,discusses the selection of teaching materials, classroom organization and assessment methods, and puts forward practical methods.At the same time,it is pointed out that teachers' continuous learning is an important link to ensure the quality of teaching.
