翻译过程中的意识形态滑移——On Irritability英译汉批评性分析

摘　　要：运用批评话语分析的语境观对On Irritability原文与译文进行对比分析,发现后者相对于前者在意识形态方面出现了滑移,即学术性向非学术性的滑移、性别指向的滑移、权势意识的滑移、隐喻思维的滑移、论述焦点的滑移,再次证明意识形态在翻译活动中具有不稳定性和动态性。将微观语言分析与宏观语境分析相结合能够有效地揭示滑移现象。This paper adopts the perspective of critical discourse analysis on context to contrast the ideologies embedded in the English text “On Irritability” and its Chinese version and demonstrates that the latter shows certain degree of ideological shift from the former in the academic nature, gender implication, power awareness, metaphorical thinking and arguing point to instantiate the instable and dynamic nature of ideology in the translating process. The combination of detailed linguistic analysis with macro-examination of historical context can effectively reveal the ideological shifts.
