摘 要:提出了一种基于光纤锥级联纤芯失配的Mach-Zehnder干涉湿度传感器。将两段色散补偿光纤对芯熔接光纤锥,并依次级联,再接入一段6 mm的多模渐变光纤,构成了Mach-Zehnder干涉仪,其中多模渐变光纤和芯径失配处的两个节点起到了光纤耦合器的作用。环境湿度变化,引起传感器透射谱能量发生改变。实验结果表明:透射谱波峰能量和湿度有较好的线性关系。当湿度在35%~95%RH范围内变化,传感器灵敏度为-0. 074 9 d B/%RH,线性度R2为0. 995。设计的传感器结构紧凑、灵敏度高,可以广泛应用于不同领域的湿度测量。A Mach-Zehnder interferometric relative humidity(RH)sensor based on optical fiber tapers cascading with core diameter mismatched is proposed.The waist-enlarged fiber tapers are fabricated by two section of the dispersion compensation fiber,and a 6 mm graded-index multimode fiber(GI MMF)is cascaded by fusion splicing method,which form Mach-Zehnder interferometer.Fiber core diameter mismatched point and graded-index multimode fiber serve as optical couplers.When the external RH changes,the transmission spectrum energy of the sensor will be changed.The experimental results show that the peak power changes with respect to surrounding RH with good linearity.When the RH change in range of 35%~95%RH,sensitivity of the sensor is-0.074 9 d B/%RH with linearity R2 of 0.995.The proposed RH sensor has compact structure,high sensitivity,which makes it possible to be widely applied in RH measurement.
