People,Technology and Values: On the Next Generation Library Technology

摘　　要：图书馆是一个社会赋能器,与其他赋能器一样,图书馆不仅提供人们交流和学习的空间,而且让人们从中创造和增加价值。长期以来,图书馆在技术应用上存在导向上的不足,忽略了图书馆作为社会赋能器的功能。在技术开发和应用方面,没有很好地把落脚点放在服务上,缺乏对用户反馈、评价、互动的重视和对本地优势和专业技能的发挥。因此笔者认为,下一代图书馆技术要把体现增值功能、突出用户本位、适应事业发展放在重要位置,同时要加强系统的扩展性、安全性和个性化。图书馆要善用现代技术,有效地发挥自身在数字和网络环境下知识增值服务的能力,在技术革新与职业追求同步发展中,进一步提升图书馆服务用户、服务社会的水平。Libraries are social enablers.Like other enablers,libraries not only provide spaces for people to communicate and learn,but also allows people to create and add value from the process.For a long time,libraries are lack of guidance in the application of technology,ignoring the function of library as social enabler.In terms of technology development and application,libraries haven’t put emphasis on service.They are lack of attention to user feedback,evaluation,interaction and the play of local advantages and professional skills.Therefore,the author believes that the next generation of library technology should give priority to embodying value-added functions,highlighting user orientation and adapting to career development,while strengthening the scalability,security and personalization of its system.Libraries should make good use of modern technology,effectively exert their ability of value-added services in the digital and network environment,and further improve their service level to users and society in the simultaneous development of technological innovation and professional pursuit.
