摘　　要：城市规划作为一门面向未来的应用科学,项目实践是推动城市规划行业创新与发展的重要手段以时间为线索,对“新中国城市规划的初创期(1949—1957年)、波动期(1958—1965年)、停滞期(1966—1977年)、恢复期(1978—1989年)、建构期(1990-2007年)、转型期(2008用年以后)”六个阶段重大规划项目进行梳理和反思,认识重大规划项目对城市规划发展的作用,总结新中国城市规划价值导向、法律法规体系、理论与技术方法的演进过程与趋势。"Urban planning" can be understood as an applied science to cope with future uncertainties of urban development, and the practice of planning plays a key role in stimulating innovations in the discipline. This paper summarizes new China's influential planning practices in six development stages and synthesizes the lessons learnt from the successes and the failures respectively. Meanwhile, it facilitates the understanding of the significance of influential practices in advancing urban planning and of the evolution of new China's urban planning.
