摘　　要：本文对赵元任"橡皮带效应"比喻进行了声学实验考察。结果发现,"橡皮带效应"虽然指出了声调在语调作用下的整体趋势,但受各种因素影响,声调和语调变化之间并不是以等比例形式发生的。声调音高在语调的影响下表现出稳定性和动态性交织的特点,前者是就其底层音系特征而言的,后者是其表层语音输出的量变。This paper offers an experimental and quantitative examination of Yuen Ren Chao's‘elastic band theory’on the relation between tones and intonation.The results show that the general trend of tonal range in the utterance follows the‘elastic band theory’but the phonetic realization of each tone does not vary proportionally.Under the influence of intonation,both stability and dynamics are presented in the tones.The former is related with underlying phonological features which secures that words can be distinguished by tones,whereas the latter concerns the quantitative change of surface phonetic output which reflects the adjustment of tones affected by intonation.
