汉语“大系”考源

摘　　要：近现代出版的著作中有不少题名为"大系"的。汉语"大系"一词学界多以为始于1935年出版的《中国新文学大系》。其实该词源自日语,由明治时期田口鼎轩所造,本义为"大的经线"。郭沫若最早将"大系"一词引介到汉语中,《两周金文辞大系》是第一部以"大系"命名的汉语著作。《汉语大词典》"大系"条所引书证应据此修改。Some of modern books were named by Daxi(great series),and most academic thought the word Daxi(大系great series)began in The Studies of the Great Series of the Chinese New Literature(《中国新文学大系》)published in 1935.In fact,the origin of the word is from Japanese,and it was created by Taguchi Teiken(Ukichi)in the Meiji period,which literally means a great line.Guo Moruo was the fi rst academic who introduced great series to Chinese,and The Studies of the Great Series of Bronzes Inscriptions of East and West Zhou Periods(《两周金文辞大系》)is the fi rst Chinese work named by great series.The great series cited as documentary evidence of The Chinese Dictionary(《汉语大词典》)should be modifi ed accordingly.
