南海《更路簿》针位航向极度存疑“更路”辨析  

An Analysis of Sea Routes That are Ambiguous in Azimuthal Angles of Needle Positions in Geng Lu Bu about the South China Sea

摘　　要：在南海二十一册《更路簿》更路数字化基础上,得到更路平均航速12.5海里/更及针位航向与最短航程航向平均偏差12. 12°结论。从周伟民等著作《南海天书》3 000余条更路中梳理出100余条航速或距离或航向不太符合常理的更路,对其中8条针位航向极度存疑更路进行深入研究分析,提出客观合理的解释,为部分岛礁的海南渔民俗称提出新解,对部分更路的可能笔误提出修改建议,为《更路簿》科学、定量地深入研究提供可借鉴的方法,也可为部分《更路簿》的年代划分提供间接证据。According to the digitalization of sea routes in all 21 copies of Geng Lu Bu about the South China Sea, it is concluded that the average speed reaches 12.5 nautical miles per geng(mileage) and an average deviation of 12.12° exists between the needle positions and the shortest course. Out of over 3,000 sea routes indicated in An Arcane Book about the South China Sea(Naihai Tianshu) by Zhou Weimin and Tang Lingling, around100 sea routes are selected, which do not accord to common sense to some extent in terms of sailing speed or distance or direction. In particular, 8 sea routes that are ambiguous in azimuthal angles of needle positions are thoroughly analyzed. While making the objective and reasonable explanations, this paper also provides new interpretations for the folk names of some islands and reefs that are used by the fishermen in Hainan, and further puts forward some suggestions for revising the possible clerical errors in a few sea routes. The current research provides some methods for the scientific and quantitative studies of Geng Lu Bu, and indirect proof for the chronological demarcation of some Geng Lu Bu books.
