摘　　要：贵州地处西南,封闭落后,各方面发展都远远落后于其他省份。但在周西成担任贵州省政府主席的3年里,他大力整顿贵州教育,如整改教育行政机构、改编中小学及创办贵州大学等,这些整改措施在一定程度上促进了贵州近代教育的发展。Situated in Southwest of China,Guizhou was quite closed and backward and more lagged behind than any other province during the period of National Republic.However,in the three years of his service as the Governor of Guizhou Province,Zhou Xicheng overhauled education in Guizhou,reformed educational administrative institutions,redesignated the primary and middle schools,and establish Guizhou University.To some extent,all these rectification measures promoted the development of modern education in Guizhou.
