鲁迅“国民性”思想与中国文化复兴与自信  

Lu Xun's Thought About “National Character” and Its Relation to China's Cultural Renaissance and Confidence

摘　　要：鲁迅认为文化以人的精神为基础,所以中国文化复兴与自信离不开"国民性"的问题。中国文化传统与国民精神都经过历史的变化,并非一成不变的、凝固的整体。所以,要谈中国文化复兴,必须有一个批判清理的过程;要谈中国文化的自信,也必须有面对"国民性"糟粕的勇气。鲁迅思考"国民性"问题,是希望中国国民精神得到改进,成为现代的"新人"。中国文化复兴的目的,是要中国和中国人能够与世界各国先进、强大的方面并肩而立,甚至超越向前;中国文化的自信,并非建立在眼睛朝下向低标准看齐的基础,或处处跟着别人屁股后面走,而是建立在处处向上、向最高目标奋斗的要求。否则,我们只是"复兴"了遭扭曲的文化传统和"国民性"中的阿Q精神。In Lu Xun's opinion,the spirit of the people is the foundation of a culture.Therefore,China's Cultural renaissance and confidence are inseparable from the problem of"national character".Chinese cultural tradition and the Chinese mind are not static and frozenentities and have undergone historical changes.To discuss China's cultural renaissance,therefore,a critical review of Chinese culture is needed;to discuss self-confidence in Chinese culture,the courage to face the dregs of"national character"is needed.The purpose of Lu Xun's criticism of the"bad quality"of the Chinese is to improve their spirit and mind so that they can become"new people"in the modern world.The purpose of China's cultural renaissance is to allow China and the Chinese to match and even surpass the strength and advanced aspects of other nations in the world.The self-confidence is not established upon low standards beneath but to aim standards high above.Otherwise,we can only have a renaissance the Ah-Qism in our cultural tradition and"national character".
