摘  要:媒介与都市空间关系紧密。20世纪以后,城市规模急遽扩张,对城市空间的关注从建筑规划领域拓展到历史学、社会学、政治经济学和哲学等领域,曾被看作单一均质的空间转而具备多样性。在众多城市理论中,从媒介角度出发关注城市空间的思路尤其值得瞩目。媒介与城市空间的关系体现在几个方面:从信息传承角度将城市自身视作媒介;从交通、照明、报时系统出发看媒介增添城市吸引力的方式;从信息技术的加速助力看城市空间的表达力和创造性;从媒介表征体系解读公众对城市的体验和认知。互联网具备强大的表现力和传播力,它抹平城市空间中经历与体验、介入与建构之间的区别,更改城市空间的生成次序,以网民自身的行动记录构造城市空间边界,使符号在场与实体在场对于城市空间同等重要。互联网提供的这种总体认知模式,将后现代语境中分化、多样的都市空间转换为虚实无界、个体感知与虚拟体验融合的都市空间。With the dramatic growth and increasing heterogeneity of the city, attention to urban space has moved beyond issues of city design to questions of history, society, political economy and medialization in recent decades. Among this nexus of concerns, the links between media and urban space have drawn special attention. Urban spectacles and digital information circuits have now created new timescales in the city and rendered the city itself as media. In conjunction with these developments, the acceleration and spread of miniaturized media production resources have rendered the city as a powerful site of expression and creation;while media representations of the city now shape public perception and the experience of urban life. In this context, the internet has come to be a comprehensive media resource that weaves together the differences between experience and imagination, intervention and creation. By reconfiguring the registers through which urban space is formed, the borders of the city have been re-calibrated through the internet in ways that make symbolic participation and engagement in the city as significant as offline participation in urban space. Cognitive integration across online and offline space is now in fact a feature of everyday life, and as a consequence, urban space is now a convergent space in which the virtual and the real, feeling and imagination, interweave.
