摘　　要：The novel Notre-Dame de Paris describes the many pains of love and being loved,revealing the true essence of beauty and ugliness,good and evil.There are three people in the whole novel who are very impressing:Esmeralda who is pure,kind,unyielding,compassionate,and self-sacrificing;Claude who is insidious,vicious,hypocritical,and inhuman;Quasimodo who is kind,gracious and hates injustice like poison.
