Improvement in Homogeneity of Continuously Cast Rectangular Billets of AM2 Anchor Steel by Pulse Magneto-oscillation Technology

摘  要:制作了尺寸为220mm×260mm的矩形锚链钢连铸坯。对部分连铸坯进行了由上海大学开发的脉冲磁致振荡(PMO)处理,以提高铸坯的组织均匀性。试验结果表明:适当的PMO参数可消除连铸坯的中心缩孔,显著增加等轴晶数量,减少中心碳偏析。譬如:(1)未经PMO处理的铸坯心部等轴晶的面积分数为13.08%,而以680A的峰值电流和90Hz的频率PMO处理的铸坯达23.41%,后者比前者增加了约79%;(2)未经PMO处理的铸坯心部等轴晶的面积分数为11.74%,而以600A的峰值电流和110Hz的频率PMO处理的铸坯为23.41%,后者比前者增加了1倍多。此外,经过PMO处理的铸坯的中心碳偏析指数降低0.2以上,不超过1.1。上述结果表明,PMO处理使锚链钢连铸坯的组织均匀性得到了显著改善。Continuously cast rectangular billets of AM2 anchor steel,measuring 220 mm by 260 mm,were fabricated.A portion of the cast billets were treated by a pulsed magneto-oscillation(PMO)technology developed by Shanghai University to improve their structural homogeneity.The results showed that the PMO treatment could eliminate central shrinkage cavity,increase amount of equiaxed grains,and reduce central carbon segregation in the cast billet,provided that parameters of the PMO was reasonable.Two examples were given as follows:(a)area fractions of equiaxed grains in the cast billet not subjected to and subjected to the PMO treatment at both peak current of 680 A and frequency of 90 Hz were respectively 13.08% and 23.41%,the latter was about 79% larger than the former;(b)area fractions of equiaxed grains in the cast billet not subjected to and subjected to the PMO treatment at both peak current of 600 A and frequency of 110 Hz were respectively 11.74% and 25.24%,the latter was twice or more as large as the former.Furthermore,central carbon segregation index of the cast billets subjected to the PMO treatment decreased by more than 0.2,not more than 1.1.The above-mentioned results indicated that the PMO treatment allowed structural homogeneity of the continuously cast billets of AM2 anchor steel to be significantly improved.
