In order to explore the effect of short term aging on lignin modified asphalt, the examination of properties and dynamic sheer rheological tests were carried out to analyze the properties of asphalt before and after short-term aging, and the anti-aging mechanism of lignin modified asphalt was analyzed by thermogravimetric curve (TG/DTG). The results showed that the addition of lignin improves the high temperature performance of asphalt, but has a negative effect on the low temperature performance, so it needs to be improved. The change of performance index of lignin modified asphalt after aging is smaller than that of base asphalt. Lignin improves the anti-aging property of asphalt. Twelve percent is considered as the best content. Lignin itself has good thermal stability, which not only improves the thermal stability of asphalt, but also delays the aging process of asphalt.
