摘　　要：中国现代美术转向,是建立在社会总体变迁中艺术创作、教育和思想革命的结构性转向。五四新文化运动为中国提供了整体现代性方案,同时也决定了美术转向的整体框架、先天使命和生长空间。正是因为中国现代美术的特殊起点,不同的思想家和艺术家最终选择了不同的思想和实践道路,造成中国美术的多样性景观。重新审理五四精英所给的答案亦是理解中国现代美术性质的基本方式。The turning of Chinese modern arc is a structural turning of artistic creation, education and ideological revolution based on die overall social changes. The May Fourth New Cultural Movemenc provided the holistic modem plan for China and also determined the whole fiamework, inherent mission and growth space of the artistic turning at the same cime. Because of the special starting point of Chinese modern an, different thinkers and artists finally chose different ideological and practical paths, whidi brought about the diversity of Chinese arc Therefore,reviewing the answer of the elites in the May Fourch Movemem is also che basic approach to understand the nature of modern Chinese art.
