对汉代“左衽”服饰习俗的再认识

摘　　要：依儒家文献记载,衣左衽者有两类:死者、夷狄之人。两汉时期,"左衽"成为区分中原人民与夷狄之人的标志。然而,根据各地出土的汉画像石与画像砖,中原地区的官吏、妇人、奴仆、神仙等都有衣左衽的情况,这说明"左衽"在这一时期不是指具体的服饰特点,而应当是一种文化观念。引起汉代"左衽"的原因有:汉代尊右卑左的文化观念;军职尚左是汉代武士左衽的重要原因;受胡风的影响,汉代社会上层出现了穿胡服的习尚。According to Confucian literature,there were two kinds of people wearing zuoren(buttoning on the left side左衽)clothes:the dead and the barbarians.During the Han Dynasty,zuorenbecame the symbol distinguishing people of the Central Plains from people of yidi夷狄.However,according to the unearthed stone and brick portraits of the Han Dynasty,officials,women,slaves and immortals in the Central Plains all wore zuoren clothes,which shows that zuorenin this period did not refer to specific characteristics of clothes,but should be a cultural concept.The reasons for wearing zuorenin the Han Dynasty are as follows:first,the cultural concept in the Han Dynasty respected the right and was inferior to the left;second,that the military warriors esteemed the left more than the right constituted another important reason;third,under the influence of hufeng(hu customs胡风),the custom of wearing the Huclothes appeared in the upper strata of the Han Dynasty.
