摘　　要：我们需要绿色历史,原因有六点:一是历史学者尚未对整体的世界予以足够的关注;二是绿色历史尊重自然科学,力图将其纳入历史学者的研究工具之中;三是我们必须在时间的更深处进行思考,回到人类物种甚至地球的起源,因为它们是同一部历史;四是我们所有的文化传统都源自我们同自然的遭遇;五是在一个有着自然极限的世界中,有必要批判地思考无极限的经济增长思想;六是我们需要更好地了解地球上所有那些我们生活于其上并以我们的胃口与消费影响着的土地。绿色将变成历史的颜色,而地球将成为历史学最重要的课题。We need green history for six reasons. Firstly, historians have never addressed the world in full;secondly, green history respects natural science and seeks to make it part of the historian tool bag;thirdly, we should think more deeply in time, going back to the origin of humankind and even the origin of the earth since it is all one history;fourthly, our cultural traditions all have grown out of encounters with nature;fifthly, in a world of natural limits it is necessary to think critically about the idea of endless economic growth;and finally, we need to know better all the places on earth where we live and that we affect through our appetites and consumption. Green will become the color of history, and the Earth will become its greatest subject.
