摘　　要：2015年11月,“全国民主联盟”在缅甸大选中获胜。2016年3月,“全国民主联盟”候选人吴廷觉被联邦议会推举为新任缅甸总统,缅甸民主转型取得重大进展。缅甸民主转型有助于为印缅关系发展提供意识形态支持及民意基础,并为加强两国在国防军事、经济贸易以及科教文卫等领域的双边合作提供全新机遇。民主转型中的缅甸日益开放,印缅关系发展在迎来机遇的同时也面临挑战。缅甸作为印度的重要邻邦,缅甸民主转型对印缅关系发展至关重要。In November 2015, the National League for Democracy won the election in Myanmar.In March 2016, U Htin Kyaw, the candidate of the National League for Democracy, was elected by the Federal Parliament as the new President of Myanmar.Myanmar s democratic transformation has made significant progress.The democratic transformation of Myanmar will provide ideological support and public opinion for the development of India-Myanmar relations, and provide new opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in military field, economic sphere, and cultural field.Myanmar in the democratic transition is increasingly open.The development of India-Myanmar relations is also facing challenges while enjoying opportunities.As an important neighbor of India, Myanmay s democaratic transformation is crucial to the development of India-Myanmar relations.
