Reinterpretation of Females in Blithedale Romance

摘　　要：In Nathanial Hawthorne’s novel Blithedale Romance, there are two main female figures: Zenobia and Priscilla. In the past readings no matter abroad or at home, they are both addressed as“woman”, which actually misreads the whole text and the author as well.
