摘　　要：在漓江一个窄小的水湾处,隐藏着一座用黑砖建造而成的建筑。它是一座荒废已久的糖厂自从20世纪90年代关闭后,工厂建筑已经日渐衰败。数百万的游客曾经在游船的护送下从建筑的旁边经过,却没人注意到它。位于中国西南部的桂林有着独特的喀斯特地貌景观,漓江就在其陡峭的悬崖间蜿蜒流淌。这条河是中国最著名的旅游胜地之一。来自印度尼西亚巴厘岛的一家酒店连锁机构认识到了这座建筑综合体的独特魅力,遂将它改建成了一座一共带有笛7间客房和套房的高级度假村。原有的建筑表皮为粗糙的浇筑混凝土和灰白色砖砌体,就像一座坚固的大厅,甘蔗糖浆曾经在这里被压榨和加工,如今,建筑的内部已经由餐厅、咖啡馆、酒吧、一间图书馆和豪华文物套房所占据。Hidden in a narrow bay of the River Li, the dark brick buildings of a disused sugar factory had gradually decayed since its closure in the 1990s - unnoticed by the millions of tourists who travel directly past in convoys of excursion boats. The river, which meanders through the steep cliffs of the karst landscape of Guilin in south-western China, is among the country's most popular tourist goals. Recognizing the charm of this complex a hotel chain from Bali transtormed it into a premium resort with 117 bedrooms and suites. In the solid, hall-like existing buildings with their surfaces of crudely poured concrete and ash-grey brickwork, where once sugar cane syrup was pressed and processed, today restaurants, cafes, bars, a library and generous heritage suites are accommodated.
