英语多义动词walk语义句法接口的历时映射

摘　　要：基于OED在线引文语料,采用题元理论,对英语多义动词walk的义项衍生进行历时考察,解析多义语义项与句法接口间的映射关系。研究发现:walk的题元角色和句法结构随着语义项的复杂衍化而逐渐多变;在映射过程中,义项与题元栅和句法之间存在“单义单构”和“多义同构”的现象;综合运用题元角色和实体句法可确定“多义同构”现象下的特定义项。此研究结果可直接用于外语教学。Based upon the diachronic electronic data provided by Oxford English Dictionary(on line), this paper, from the perspective of θ-roles, investigates the projecting relations between semantics and syntax in diachronic semantic change of English polysemous word walk . The results show that: semantic roles and grammar structure experience the complex change with the polysemous development of walk;“one-to-one” and “many-to-one” interface projection coexists in the process of semantics projecting into grammar;the determinacy of semantics in “many-to-one” projection, the method of combining θ-roles with grammar can cope with it. The findings can be used in language teaching.
