Based on the historical data and experience of field survey, the seismic liquefaction grade of the light loam was divided, a set of matter elements containing the classical domain and the nodel domain matrix of the evaluation indicators for the seismic liquefaction grade of light loam was established, the matter elements to be evaluated, which were composed of the specific evaluation index value of the light loam samples, was substituted into the extension set for multi-factorial comprehensive evaluation, and the judging results were determined by calculating and comparing the correlation degree between the light loam samples and each evaluation grade of seismic earthquake liquefaction. Results of engineering application show that the comprehensive evaluation method for the seismic liquefaction grade of light loam, which was established on matter-element theory and extension set theory, can not only judge the liquefaction grade problem from the qualitative and quantitative perspectives, but also objectively reflect the contribution weight of each evaluation factor.
