With increasing competition in the construction market, the level of project management becomes the key factor to the sustainable development of the construction enterprises, and effective evaluation of project management performance is essential for its continuous improvement. In this paper, the status quo of evaluating project management performance in China is comprehensively studied. The performance evaluation of construction project management system is redesigned based on the methods of balanced score card(BSC)and key performance indicator(KPI),and the evaluation index system established according to the five dimensions of economy, technology, materials, personnel and management. The improved Cov-AHP is used to determine the weight of each index, and the project is evaluated comprehensively by determining the connection degree. Finally, the feasibility of the evaluation model is verified through practical cases.
