摘　　要：作为中国第一位农村社会学“博士”,杨开道在积极引介美国农村社会学思想的同时,全方位深度透视中国农村社会,为20世纪上半叶中国农村社会建设做出了巨大贡献。他在积极推进中国农村社会学研究的同时,以实际行动参与中国农村社会建设实践,创办农村社会工作固定观察点——“清河实验站”,可谓农村社会学“学院派”里的“实践者”。在他看来,科学认识农村是中国农村社会建设的基础;农村自治问题是农村社会建设的重要议题;农村组织是改造农村的方法,而农村领袖则是农村组织的中心,农村组织与农村领袖对于农村社会建设和农村自治缺一不可。至今,杨开道有关农村社会建设的理念和主张对中国农村发展仍然具有重要的借鉴意义。As the first "doctor" of rural sociology in China, Yang Kaidao actively introduced American rural sociology and studied Chinese rural society comprehensively and deeply. He made a great contribution to the construction of rural society in China in the first half of the 20 th century. While actively promoting the study of rural sociology in China, he took part in the practice of rural social construction in China with practical actions. For example, he established a fixed observation point for rural social work——Qinghe Experimental Station. He is a practitioner in the Academic School of Rural Sociology. In his view, scientific understanding of rural areas is the foundation of China’s rural social construction;rural autonomy is an important issue in rural social construction;rural organizations(the way to transform rural area) and rural leaders(the center of rural organization) are indispensable for rural social construction and rural autonomy. Up to now, Yang Kaidao’s ideas and propositions on rural social construction still have important reference significance for rural development in China.
