摘　　要：探究未知事物的奥秘是人类的天性。侦探小说正是因为满足读者的这一需求,才能在众多文类中存活并逐渐繁荣。杜伦马特的小说《诺言》貌似常见的侦探小说,事实上却是一篇探索人性奥秘的玄学侦探小说,它着眼于以进化论信仰为前提的人类理性的反思,开启了对人性本质与局限的追问。it is human nature to explore the mystery of the unknown. It is precisely because the detective novel meets the readers’ needs that it can survive and gradually flourish in many kinds of literature. Duren Matt’s novel "The Promise", which seems like a common detective story, is actually a metaphysical detective story that explores the mysteries of human nature. It focuses on the reflection of human reason on the premise of the belief of evolution and opens up the question of the nature and limitation of human nature.
