摘　　要：《美妇人》是20世纪初英国最伟大的作家之一D·H·劳伦斯的一部带有浓厚自传体色彩的经典短篇小说。它运用高超的叙述聚焦转换策略,细致地刻画了人物复杂的内心世界,生动地描绘了主人公波琳、罗伯特、西斯之间的情感纠葛,从而揭示了资本主义工业文明的罪恶。该小说所呈现出的叙事特征充分诠释了法国著名叙事学家热奈特的叙事聚焦理论。The Lovely Lady is a classic autobiographical short story of D·H·Lawrence who is one of the English greatest writers in the early 20th.By means of exquisite application of shift of narrative focalization,it profoundly demonstrates the complexity of the characters innermost world and vividly displays the protagonists emotion entanglement among Pauline,Robert and Ciss for the purpose of revealing the evil of capitalist industrial civilization.Narrative features in The Lovely Lady makes a full reflection of the theory of narrative focalization proposed by French famous narratologist Genette.
