汉字和主观词频对接触引发语音变异的影响——以新派上海市区方言匣母细音字为例  

Effects of Chinese characters and subjective word frequency on contact-induced variation: A case study on Xia (匣) initial before high front vowels in New Shanghainese

摘　　要：本文以新派上海市区方言匣母细音字为例,针对这种方言和普通话的接触所引发的变异,重点考察汉字与主观词频对变异的影响。通过对比有汉字参与的读词调查和无汉字参与的上海话对话问答调查结果,我们发现当有汉字参与时,被试倾向于选择受普通话接触所引发的变式。同时,基于样本模型理论,我们发现在对话问答调查时被试反映的变异情况和被试主观认知的上海话与普通话词频存在相关性,但这种相关性在读词调查结果中却并没有发现。This paper focuses on the variation of Xia (匣) initial before high front vowels in New Shanghainese, which is induced by contact with Mandarin. Two factors are considered to affect the variation: Chinese characters and subjective word frequency of both Shanghainese and Mandarin. The result indicates that native speakers of New Shanghainese are inclined to choose the contact-induced variant when reading out Chinese characters in Shanghainese. When they speak Shanghainese without noticing any Chinese characters, there is a correlation between the choice of variants and the subjective word frequency of both Shanghainese and Mandarin. The correlation disappears when reading Chinese Characters in Shanghainese.
