Experiment on Reduction and Extraction of Copper and Cobalt from Copper Converter Slag by Spent Pot-Lining from Aluminum Smelters

摘  要:研究了用铝电解槽废槽衬(包括废阴极炭块和废碳化硅侧块)替代工业煤作还原剂,提取含钴转炉渣中铜、钴的可行性。研究发现,在相同条件下,采用废阴极炭块和废碳化硅侧块均可实现对含钴转炉渣的还原熔炼。工业煤还原剂铜和钴回收率分别达到了91.4%和94.8%;废阴极炭块作还原剂,其中含有的氟可改善渣型,促进渣与冰铜分离,铜和钴回收率分别达到97.3%和99.3%;废碳化硅作还原剂,铜和钴回收率分别为95.4%和90.0%。碳化硅比炭质还原剂密度大,更容易进入渣相参与熔池反应,更有利于应用在工业电炉中。Feasibility to extract copper and cobalt from cobalt-bearing converter slag applying spent pot-lining(including waste cathode carbon block and waste SiC side block)from aluminum smelters substitute to industrial coal as reductant was studied.It is found that under the same conditions,reduction smelting of cobalt-bearing converter slag is valid applying waste cathode carbon block and waste SiC side block as reductant.Recovery ratio of Cu and Co is 91.4%and 94.8%respectively with industrial coal as reductant.Fluorine in waste cathode carbon block can improve slag type and promote separation of slag and matte,and recovery ratio of Cu and Co is 97.3%and 99.3%,respectively.Recovery ratio of Cu and Co is 95.4%and 90.0%respectively with waste silicon carbide as reductant.Compared to carbon based reductant,it is easier for silicon carbide with larger density to enter slag bath to participate in reaction,which is more conducive to application in industrial electric furnaces.
