摘　　要：1942年美国国会图书馆开展了一项文献调查与征集行动,向费吴生夫人征集远东和太平洋问题的相关文献资料是这次行动的一个具体案例。这一行动有别于国会图书馆东亚馆藏建设,它本身是该馆增补西文馆藏所采取的采访策略,事实上也受到了二战尤其是太平洋战争的影响,是国会图书馆对美国远东战略调整的积极响应。The Library of Congress launched an effort to collect all kinds of related materials in various fields in 1942. In the Far Eastern and Pacific field,it requested Mrs. Fitch to supply a list and copies of her publications, aiming to supplement its collections in the Western languages. In fact, such an action was different from its development of East Asian Collections,and it was also influenced by the Pacific War,with a view to responding to the adjustment of US Far East Strategy.
