家务劳动与男性气质的建构——基于六省市城乡居民的定性调查

摘　　要：以六省市城乡居民的定性调查为例,讨论男性做家务与男性气质建构的关系。研究发现,男性通过将自己所承担的家务劳动体能化、技能化、知识化,将做家务的能力建构为个人能力的一部分,塑造全能的男性形象;同时通过做家务回应社会和家庭对男性作为父亲、丈夫与家庭成员角色的新要求,塑造负责任的家庭成员形象。从个体能力和家庭角色两个角度,男性做家务可以被整合进其性别气质,是更新了的男性气质的组成部分。由于多元化的社会赋予了男性更多选择空间,同时可满足男性的自身利益与情感需求,男性气质虽然会延续,但其内涵是可协商、可再造的。Based a qualitative survey on urban and rural residents in six provincial regions, the thesis talks about the association between men’s involvement in household chores and the formation of their masculinity. It finds that men emphasize their physical agility, skills and knowledge when performing household duties in a move to build an all-round image of them. They intend to meet the expectations of them as fathers, husbands and part of a family from the society and other family members through the fulfillment of household chores, building themselves into a responsible people. From the perspectives of personal skills and the roles in a family, men’s participation in household work is conducive to their development in other aspects and has become an important component of their masculine. Men have more options and can find satisfactions in personal interests and emotional needs in a diversified society. Their masculinity might survive, yet its implications would be negotiable and renewable.
