摘　　要：指示语、摹状词和专名都是具体指称手段 ,但却属于不同的语义类型。与摹状词及专名研究相比 ,指示语研究显得相对薄弱和滞后。通过对欧美国家指示语研究的主要观点和思想进行系统的分析和梳理。对指示语研究已经取得的成果及有待解决的问题进行归纳总结 。There are three distinct kinds of singular definite referring expressions: proper names, definite descriptions and deictic words. However, the research of deictic words has fallen behind the research of proper names and definite descriptions. The author analyses and sorts out the viewpoints and ideas in research of deictic words in the West, and sums up the fruits of research and problems awaiting solution.
