摘　　要：作为检索网络信息的重要工具 ,搜索引擎在互联网的发展中正发挥着越来越重要的作用。本文围绕着搜索引擎的发展进行讨论 ,概述了从检索机制角度对搜索引擎的发展阶段进行的划分。Search engines are playing increasingly important role in the development of the Internet as the principal tool for retrieving information on the Internet. This paper reviews the different phases of the development of search engines. Based on an analysis on existing problems with search engines, the paper concludes on the intelligent trends in the third generation search engines.
