摘 要:金属硫蛋白 (MT)是一类富含半胱氨酸的小分子非酶蛋白 ,在生物界中广泛存在 ,具有重金属解毒、清除氧自由基、稳定生物膜等多种生物学功能。其合成可被多种因素诱导 ,在炎症、感染、休克、组织损伤等病理状态下表达增加。近年来对MT转基因动物的研究发现 ,MT是一种强的内源性细胞保护物质 ,在心血管系统抗损伤保护中发挥着重要的作用。Metallothionein (MT) is a low molecular weight no n-enzyme protein rich in L -cysteine. It widely distributes in various animal and plant species a nd pla ys important roles in detoxifying against harmful heavy metals, scavenging oxyen free radicals and stabilizing biomembranes. MT synthesis can be easily induced b y many factors. MT expression is up-regulated in stress and pathologic conditio n s such as inflammation, infection, shock, and tissue injury etc. In recent years , accumulating experiments with transgenic and gene knockout animal models have showed that MT is a kind of strong endogenous cytoprotective agent which plays importa nt roles in protecting against cardiovascular injury. Exogenous administration w ith MT or induced endogenous MT production may be used as a new strategy in prevent ion and therapy of cardiovascular diseases.
