摘　　要：WorldCom是全球头号Internet业务提供商,承载着全球50%以上的IP业务量,其破产和今后的重组工作对Internet的发展具有重大影响。WorldCom的网络彻底瘫痪的可能性并不大,WorldCom和FCC都承诺不会因WorldCom的破产影响Internet的运行。其竞争对手AT&T公开叫板WorldCom,但是分析家认为WorldCom最难以取代的部分是那些连接用户的网络,AT&T并不能轻易达到WorldCom的位置。WorldCom is the top Internet service provider in the world.It carries over50%IP service on the global scale.Its bankruptcy and re com bi na tion later on will have great effect on the de velopment of In ternet.There is little pos-sibili ty that World Com's network will become paralysis.Both WorldCom and FCC committed that In ternet op eration will not be affected by the bankruptcy of WorldCom.As a competitor,AT&T challenged WorldCom.But ac cord ing to ana lyz ers,the most dif fi cult part of World Com to be replaced is the network con nected to users.It is not easy for AT&T to reach the po-sition where WorldCom was.
