摘　　要：1937年,大夏大学女生贺其华于开学典礼当天在宿舍服来沙水自杀。这起自杀事件被媒体专门追踪报道,引起了社会的广泛讨论。当时的媒体和大众从各自的立场出发对贺其华的自杀进行阐释,体现了对这一事件的多重社会意义的构建,并由此推动了社会改良进程。In 1937,He Qihua,a female student at Daxia University,committed suicide in her dormitory on the day of school opening ceremony.The suicide was not only tracked by the media,but also caused widespread discussion in society.The media and the public interpreted He’s suicide from their respective standpoints,which embodied the construction of multiple social significances of this event,and promoted the social transformation.
