摘　　要：本文运用弗莱的原型批评理论,探索艾米·狄金森诗歌“因为我不能停下来等待死神”中的圣经原型。圣经伊甸园原型从以下四个方面进行了讨论:伊甸园期盼、伊甸园迷惑、伊甸园幻灭、伊甸园复活。通过对这首诗歌的原型批评分析,从一个新的角度欣赏艾米丽狄金森诗歌的深奥与永恒吸引力。This paper uses Frye's archetypal criticism to probe into the Biblical archetypes in Emily Dickinson's poem:Because I could not stop for Death.Biblical archetypes of Paradise is discussed from four aspects:hoping for Paradise,suspicion of Paradise,disillusion of Paradise and resurrection of Paradise.By giving an archetypal criticism analysis to this poem,the profundity and everlasting appeal in Emily Dickinson's poetry can be appreciated from a new perspective.
