近70年来中国历史时期疆域与政区变迁研究的主要进展

摘　　要：中华人民共和国建国70年以来,中国历史时期疆域与政区变迁研究的标志性成果有两项:一是《中国历史地图集》,二是《中国行政区划通史》。二者在研究缘起、研究旨趣、运作方式及研究成果的表现形式上都有所不同。总体上,前者体现了政区地理的"通代研究",后者则在前者的基础上进一步发展为"断代政区地理研究";前者代表了中国传统沿革地理向近现代历史地理学的转型,而后者似显示出历史疆域政区研究向历史学的回归。此外,70年来的疆域政区研究在旧史料的整理和新出史料的解析和运用、新的研究视野和GIS科技手段的使用、历史政治地理学理论的建设等方面,均取得了长足的进展。Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China 70 years ago, there have been two landmark achievements in the study of the changes of the territory and political districts in China’s historical period: one is the "The Historical Atlas of China" and the other is "The History of China’s Administrative Districts". By comparison, we find that they are different in the origin of research, research interest, mode of operation, and expression of research results. In general, the former reflects the "change among the dynasties" of the political geography, while the latter further develops into "the changes within the dynasty" on the basis of the former;the former represents transformotion of the traditional Chinese geography to the modern historical geography. while the latter seems to show the return of historical political district research to history. In addition, 70 years of territorial and political district research have made great progress in the compilation of old historical materials and the analysis and use of new historical materials, new research horizons, the application of GIS technology, and the construction of historical political geography theory.
