摘　　要：Fillmore在其格语法当中提出的格角色理论,对计算语言学和信息处理技术的发展做出过重大的贡献,目前仍然为许多自然语言信息处理系统所采用。框架语义学理论的提出和英语框架网络的建设为细颗粒度的信息处理提供了新的可能性。本文将概括性地讨论语义框架的描写方法,指出其优于格语法的地方,并强烈建议在信息处理技术上从过去普遍使用的格语法方法过渡到框架语义学方法上来。Case Grammar advanced by Charles J. Fillmore contributed a great deal to the development of computational linguistics and information processing techniques, and is still used by many natural language information processing systems. Frame Semantics and FrameNet developed by Charles J. Fillmore is capable of providing much finer grain semantic roles to information processing. The paper will discuss the important aspects in describing semantic frames, demonstrate the strengths of Frame Sementics, and strongly suggest that Frame Semantics approach be adopted instead of Case Grammar approach in information processing techniques.
