中美高校图书馆视频数据库比较研究

摘　　要：视频资源作为图书馆数字馆藏的重要组成部分,能够最大限度地展示真实情境和场面,比文字以及音频资源更加真切,因此越来越受到研究者重视。为调研我国高校图书馆的视频数据库资源建设的现状以及不足,笔者利用内容分析法、网络调研法和比较研究法,对中美共20所高校图书馆的467个视频数据库资源进行查找、调研和分析,从数据库来源、主题内容、用户服务建设、对外开放程度4个角度比较了中美高校图书馆现存的差异。研究发现,美国高校图书馆在视频数据库资源种类数目和版权意识上具有较大优势,中国高校图书馆在开放程度上略有优势。因此,我国高校图书馆可借鉴美国高校图书馆的突出优势,不断完善各类视频资源建设,为广大师生提供更好的服务。As an important part of the library digital collection,video library resources can maximize the real situation and scenes of the event,which is more real than the text and sound reports,so it is attracting more and more attention.It’s a good way for library to improve the service level by analyzing the current construction of video database resources in Chinese and American universities.Based on content analysis method,network research method and comparative research method,467 video databases of 20 university libraries in China and the United States were searched and browsed.The existing differences between them are compared from the dimensions of database source,content subject,openness and user service.The survey found that Chinese and American university libraries have their own characteristics in the construction of video database.In this case,Chinese university libraries can learn some advanced experience of some American universities,and constantly improve the construction of video library resources to provide better service for teachers and students.
