摘　　要：香港前中央警署与域多利监狱建筑群有着170年的历史。在这里,耗时十年的保护及活化工程刚刚完成。工程使用了最佳的保护工艺,对现有建筑进行再利用,并且新建了两座世界级的当代艺术场所。活化后,这个历史建筑群也有了一个新的名称:大馆一古迹与艺术馆,而“大馆”正是昔日警务人员及公众对这个执法机关的昵称。The Former Central Police Station and Victoria Prison in Hongkong has a history spanning 170 years.It has just undergone a major conservation led revitalisation project,which was 12 years in the making.Employing the best conservation techniques and repurposing the existing buildings,together with the addition of 2 new world class venues for contemporary and performing arts,the site is now open to the public.
