摘　　要：公共领域是哈贝马斯所提出的一个理想型的概念。从公共领域的视角出发.可知图书馆是中国近代以来的公共领域存在形态之一。图书馆作为公共空间,其主要功能体现在了知识产品的公共化和文化传播方面,公共舆论是公共领域功能的具体表现,图书馆也在一定程度上承载了公共舆论的功能。各图书馆对报刊的收藏以供阅读流通以及各类图书馆馆刊的大量创办则是近代以来图书馆事业的发展对于公共领域拓展的又一表现。In modern China, library is one of the existing forms of public sphere, an important concept defined by Habermas. Its main function is to disseminate knowledge and culture for the public. It also plays a role in public opinion to some extent. Libraries collecting a large quantity of journals and publishing themselves librarianship journal are another example of them contributing to the expansion of public sphere.
