Objective To investigate the effect of multimodal pain management on pain level, prognosis and nursing satisfaction in patients after orthopedic surgery. Methods A total of 166 patients admitted to Department of Orthopedics,Hangzhou First People's Hospital from March 2017 to June 2018 were enrolled in the study. According to the random number table, the patients were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 83 cases in each group. The control group underwent routine care, and the observation group underwent multimodal pain management on the basis of the control group. VAS pain assessment method and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire were used to evaluate the degree of pain and night sleep quality of the two groups after operation, and the nursing satisfaction of the two groups was compared. Results The pain score of the observation group was (4.03±1.22) on the 1st day after operation, and that of the control group was (6.52±1.66). The difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05). The PSQI score of the patients in the observation group was (3.76±1.03), lower than that of the control group with statistical significance (P< 0.05). The nursing satisfaction of patients in the observation group was 95.18%, higher than 65.06% in the control group with statistical significance (P< 0.05). Conclusions Multimodal pain management is helpful to relieve the pain of patients after orthopedic surgery, improve the sleep quality of patients, improve the satisfaction of patients with nursing work, and promote the recovery of patients' health.
