摘 要:本研究利用PSOLA技术,移植英语本族语者的时长、基频、“基频+时长”到中国学习者音段,合成语音刺激;并反向移植,将学习者的时长、基频、“基频+时长”移植到本族语音段,合成语音刺激。在严格控制信噪比、音速的条件下,请24名英语本族语者对实验刺激进行逐字转写,计算可理解度,研究韵律和音段对可理解度的影响。结果显示,中国学习者的时长模式对可理解度有负面作用,而基频则没有。学习者的音段,不论是与学习者自己的“基频+时长”组合,还是与本族语者的“基频+时长”组合,其可理解度都显著低于本族语者音段与本族语者自己的“基频+时长”组合,也低于本族语者音段与学习者“基频+时长”组合。这说明音段错误是致使中国学习者英语可理解度低下最主要的原因。改善学习者的音段,是提高其可理解度最有效的办法。The current study examines the relative contributions of prosody and segments to intelligibility with signal-to-noise ratio and articulation rate being strictly controlled.Audio stimuli were produced by transferring native speaker duration,F0 and“F0+duration”to Chinese learner segments,and by reversely transferring Chinese learner duration,F0 and“F0+duration”to native speaker segments,employing PSOLA technology.The resynthesized stimuli were transcribed by 24 native participants and the intelligibility was calculated.The data show that the durational pattern of the Chinese learners was detrimental to their intelligibility,but not the F0.The intelligibility of learners’segments,whether combined with the learners’“F0+duration”,or with the native“F0+duration”,was significantly lower than that of native segments combined with“F0+duration”or with the learners’“F0+duration”.This indicates that segmental errors contribute most to the low intelligibility of the Chinese learners’English.Improving the learners’accuracy of segments will be the most effective means to increase their intelligibility.
