摘　　要：本研究收集了100篇大学英语演讲课程结课演讲稿,通过分析演讲选题及演讲内容,发现演讲话题选择呈现明显的多样化,说明英语演讲已成为大学生表达自我的重要渠道。在结合演讲课程教学实践的基础上从学习者视角探讨新时期高校英语演讲课程对学生思想素质,学术素养和思辨能力等方面的影响,并提出促进演讲课程实现多元功能的课程建设思路。The paper presents a classroom research in which 100 college student speech scripts were collected through English public speaking courses and analyzed in terms of topic choice and speech content.The research finds the topic choice features in great variety,which shows English public speaking has become a channel for self-expression among Chinese college students.Based on authentic classroom teaching,the paper explores the influence of English public speaking courses on student ideology,academic competence and critical thinking abilities from student perspective.Suggestions are given to promote the multifunction of college English public speaking course as China steps into a New Era.
