摘　　要：刘国钧先生是我国著名的图书馆学家,在图书馆学理论研究、教育和实践三大领域都作出过巨大贡献。刘国钧先生在创建国立西北图书馆期间,发起成立兰州市图书馆协会,以促进馆际交流与合作,推动西北图书馆事业发展。兰州市图书馆协会1943年9月列入《筹备国立西北图书馆计划书》,1945年4月8日正式成立,1945年7月21日,西北图书馆奉令停办,刚刚成立不久的兰州市图书馆协会也随之停止工作。兰州市图书馆协会尽管存在时间不长,但对甘肃以及西北地区图书馆事业都产生了积极的影响。梳理兰州市图书馆协会发起成立的整个过程,可以看出,刘国钧先生既是一位具有远见卓识的图书馆理论家,又是一位具有卓越组织与协调能力、能够因地制宜把理想变为现实的图书馆实干家。Liu Kwoh-Chuin is a famous librarian in China who made great contributions in fields of theoretical research, education and practice of library science. During the establishment of the National Northwest Library, Liu Kwoh-Chuin initiated the Lanzhou Library Association to promote inter-library exchanges and cooperation and the development of library enterprise in Northwest China. The Lanzhou Library Association was included in the "Preparation of the National Northwest Library Project" in September 1943 and officially established on April 8, 1945. On July 21, 1945, the Northwest Library got the order to suspend. The Lanzhou Library Association also stopped operating. Although the Lanzhou Library Association has not existed for a long time, it has had a positive impact on the library enterprise in Gansu and Northwest China. After investigating the whole process of the establishment of the Lanzhou Library Association. This paper reveals that Liu Kwoh-Chuin is not only a visionary library theorist, but also a library practitioner with excellent organizational and coordination skills since he has the ability to turn his ideals into reality according to local conditions.
