Objective To study the diagnostic value of high-frequency ultrasound combined with electromyography in peripheral neuropathy of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods The data of 46 patients with type 2 diabetes treated in the first affiliated hospital of Henan university during the period of February 2016 to October 2017 were divided into experimental group and reference group, the peripheral neuropathy patients were the experimental group, the common diabetic patients were used as the reference group, 23 cases in each group, and peripheral neuropathy were evaluated by high frequency ultrasound combined with electromyography. Results Ultrasound combined with electromyography can more accurately detect peripheral neuropathy in patients with diabetes, mainly manifested by ultrasonic examination of hypoechoic echo changes and decreased blood flow. In electromyography examination, capsule and bundle membrane can be found. Discussion high frequency ultrasound combined with electromyography can improve the detection rate of peripheral neuropathy in type 2 diabetic patients, and make the patients receive the best treatment and have certain diagnostic value.
