摘　　要：巴苏是印度一位重要的历史小说家,其作品常常揭示印度被英国殖民时期所发生的重大历史事件。在其创作于2006年的《种族主义者》中,巴苏使用多种方式来批判流行的伪科学颅相学,揭示了19世纪西方殖民者传播西方殖民科学的阴谋和企图。小说中,巴苏虚构了英法科学家在荒岛上组织的颅相学试验,批判19世纪流行的伪科学颅相学试验的非科学性、殖民科学家的残忍性,通过试验的失败预言殖民医学和殖民扩张行径的失败。Basu is an important historical novelist in India, and his works often reveal the major historical events happened in India when India was colonized by Britain. In Racists, which was created in 2006, Basu used various methods to criticize the popular pseudo-scientific craniology, and revealed the plots as well as evil attempts of western colonists to disseminate western colonial science in the 19 th century. Meanwhile, Basu fictionalized the experiment of craniology organized by British and French scientists on an isolated and desert island, criticizing the non-scientificalness of the pseudo-scientific experiments and cruelty of the colonial scientists, also foreshadowing the decay of colonial medicine and colonial expansion through the failure of experiment.
