摘　　要：利用CSS Sprites能减少用户浏览网页时对服务器的HTTP请求数,减轻服务器的负载,从而提高网页加载速度。文章通过介绍CSS Sprites的使用背景,阐述CSS Sprites的工作原理,并按照拼合图片、定义结构和背景定位三个步骤详细分析其应用场景,总结其优缺点,对CSS Sprites技术的应用前景进行了研究。Using CSS Sprites can reduce the number of HTTP requests to the server when users browse the web pages and reduce the load of the server, thus greatly improving the loading speed of the web pages. This paper introduces the background of using CSS Sprites, expounds the working principle of CSS Sprites, and analyses its application scenario in detail according to three steps of combining pictures, defining structure and background positioning. It summarizes its advantages and disadvantages and studies the application prospect of CSS Sprites technology.
